Free Family-Friendly Bonfire Displays In Birmingham

The 5th November is steadily approaching! While an at-home display may seem like the more cost-effective solution, there are free bonfire displays are open all over Birmingham for you and your family to enjoy. So, if you fancy getting the gloves and sparklers out, while keeping your wallet in your pocket, here are our top picks.

Tudor Grange Park, Solihull

Starting from 6:30 pm on Saturday the 4th November, this annual event is run by Solihull Round Table, a group aimed at helping locals get involved with the community. Bring your kids along as there will be family-orientated fun, and of course fireworks. Although entry is free, the event is fundraising for the Anthony Nolan blood disorder charity, and donations are encouraged. Find out more here.

Tamworth Fireworks

On the 4th November from 6pm Tamworth Castle is hosting its very own free bonfire night. This magical evening has become a firm family favourite as you can enjoy fireworks in front of Britain’s second-biggest motte. It will boast a fun fair, food stalls, a sparkler zone, fire performers and face painters to keep the whole family entertained. The main display starts at 8 pm and will be a 20-minute pyrotechnic extravaganza.

Fancy paying a little more? The following firework displays aren’t free but are reasonably priced.

The Birmingham Botanical Gardens

Although this one is free to Botanical Gardens members, the admission is £8 for adult non-members, and £6 for concessions. The fireworks are set against the beautiful backdrop of the botanical gardens and guests can view the display from the terrace. It’s said to boast Catherine Wheels and Roman Candles all going off to your favourite songs. To register and to get a little more information, click here.

Warley Baptist Church

At just £3 entry, this firework display at Warley Baptist Church in Oldbury is definitely one to consider. It’s said to feature hot dogs, burger, chocolate apples and of course a bonfire and sparklers. Gates open at 6:15 on the 6th November and the display starts at 7. Get tickets and find out more here.

Hogarths Hotel

For £5 per person, you can get into Hogarths’ bonfire display in Dorridge. It’s said to be a family-friendly garden party with a food hut and drink stalls. Not to mention, £1 of your entry fee will go to a good cause; the event is fundraising for the Help Harry Help Others charity. Get there for 5 pm on Friday 3rd November.

Conkers, Derbyshire

Dubbed ‘one of the largest firework shows in the Midlands’, Derbyshire based Conkers has got a lot of exciting things scheduled for the 4th November. First and foremost there’s a laser show, followed by face painting, a funfair, balloon modelling and a tombola. For the adults, there’s a number of licensed bars and external food outlets. Tickets are £8, however, you can get a family ticket for 2 adults and 2 children for £22. Find out more and book tickets here.
