How QuidCo works and how to withdraw money

Quidco is a great online resource when it comes to getting cash back on your everyday purchases. If you’ve never used the site before, then you may be wondering how it works.

Currently, Quidco is partnered with a whopping 4,500 brands on and offline and you can claim cashback on every purchase you make with them as you shop. Sounds great, right? We understand if you feel a little sceptical about the whole thing, though. There must be a catch, right? After all, getting paid to shop? That’s the dream for many of us!

Read on to learn how to use the site and get those all important pennies paid out at the end of the day.

So, how does Quidco work?

Cashback sites such as Quidco make deals with brands where they agree to feature a link to a product or offer on the cashback site. When a customer clicks through to buy this product from the link on the cashback site. The brand can trace it, and know that the cashback site is the reason that the customer made a purchase. The brand will then pay the cashback site a commission for each purchase that’s made through them. The cashback sites then pass some of this commission onto the customer, and that’s how you get paid for shopping.

When you use Quidco as a customer, all you need to do is make sure that you visit Quidco’s website and click through to any brands you want to buy from there. Then, you can shop as normal on the brand’s website, and your cashback amount is transferred directly into your bank account later! The amount of cashback you receive is a percentage of what you spent on that purchase. The exact percentage you receive will vary between shops, and whether they are running an offer.

You can then use this cashback as you wish; how about taking those extra pennies and putting them into a rainy day savings account? That means you’ll have a little extra cash on the side to put towards those emergency or last-minute expenses. You could also use the money to save up to put towards a bigger treat or keep it tucked away ready for Christmas. The average Quidco customer is estimated to earn around £280 in cash back each year – so it’s definitely worth checking out!

How to shop using Quidco for the best return

The users that make the most cash back are those that take a look at the offers available on the Quidco site before making a purchase. As an example, let’s say you’re thinking about buying a new toaster.

You’ve seen two very similar styles for the same price in both Argos and on AO.com but Argos is offering a 10% cashback deal today, compared to AO.com’s 5%. In this case, you’ll get a great looking appliance and more cashback if you choose Argos. Shopping to earn cashback takes a little additional research but it’s definitely worth it in the long run.

The deals and offers provided by brands on the site change daily, so it’s always worth checking back regularly to see if you could get more cashback on your purchase another day. Nobody likes to miss out on a great deal, so if you don’t need to make your purchase urgently, it can be a great way to maximise the cashback you receive.

It’s also a good idea to install the Quidco Cashback Reminder on your browser. This encourages you to check the website before you make any purchases online – which means you won’t miss out on that all-important cashback. The Cashback Reminder is simply a plugin that you can install on Chrome or Firefox. It will pop up while you’re browsing, to remind you to visit QuidCo and go  back to the brand site through their link before you make a purchase.

How to get cashback for free at Quidco

You can also earn cashback without paying out any cash at all. Simply sign up to free memberships and subscriptions and get the payout. You could sign up for a free credit check with Experian or create an account on Match.com and still get money back. Some brands do this because in many cases it is cheaper for them to gain new customers this way rather than other advertising. A website visitor today can become a loyal customer in the future if they like the service they receive.
