Life Advice From Six Women At The Top Of Their Game

Over 100 years ago, women in the UK were fighting to get the vote. Before 1918, women engaged in protests, hunger strikes and what they called ‘deeds not words’  in order to gain equality. Until finally, women were granted the vote as the suffrage movement gained global momentum. Emmeline Pankhurst, the leader of the British suffragette movement was even described by Time magazine in 1999 as ‘one of the 100 Most Important People of the 20th Century’, stating “…she shaped an idea of women for our time; she shook society into a new pattern from which there could be no going back.”

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage, we look at the inspirational women around today, who have furthered feminism in their own way. Such as Malala Yousafzai, who continued to campaign for the universal education of women even after being violently attacked for her protest and beliefs. Or J.K. Rowling who was assessed as the 13th most powerful woman in the UK by Woman’s Hour on BBC Radio 4.

To celebrate the achievements of women over the last century, we’ve created 6 unique posters with life advice and inspirational quotes from some of today’s most successful and influential women.
